Hannover, Mar. 9, 2006 – Liyitec Inc., a globalleading
manufacturer of touch screens, introduces its new SonicTouchTM product line at CeBIT 2006 in Hannover, Germany. Based on surface
acoustic wave touch technology, the patent granting SonicTouch is
ideal for applications that require high durability, high
clarity and high stability, such as, point-of-information (POI),
ATM machines, photo kiosks, self check-in and self check-out
kiosks, Internet phones, medical imaging, gaming and ticket
vending
machines.

Based on surface acoustic
wave touch technology, SonicTouch is composed of a pure glass
construction that delivers unsurpassed durability, reliability and
clarity. With no plastic or metallic coatings on the surface,
SonicTouch offers 90% of light transmission, and superior image
clarity and color purity. This feature makes it suitable for image
processing applications, like photo kiosks, medical imaging and
gaming machines.
Featuring surface hardness
as high as 7H, the SonicTouch is scratch resistant and chemical
resistant. With its drift-free and stable controller design, the
SonicTouch requires no recalibration once installed. Offering
touch resolution of 4096 x 4096, plus 255 levels of “Z” axis
for pressure, the SonicTouch provides ultimate performance of
precision for small target and fast response rate, when using with
Liyitec’s SAW touch controllers.
Availability
Liyitec’s SonicTouch surface acoustic wave
touch panels and touch controllers are currently available for
evaluation. Production quantity will be available starting Q3 in
2006.
