Liyitec Announces Universal Resistive Touch Controller
The feature-rich URTC-1000 supports 4/5-wire resistive touch screens
Computex (Booth #C1025, Hall 1), Taipei, Sep 22, 2003 — Liyitec Inc., a global leading manufacturer of touch screens, announces its universal resistive touch controller, URTC-1000, that supports various resistive touch technologies and provide many features that meet different critical application requirements. The same controller unit can work with both 4-wire and 5-wire resistive touch screens, as well as USB and Serial interface.
Being the first of its kind, the URTC-1000 may automatically sense the USB and Serial interface when the interface cable is attached. When using with different touch technology, users may easily select the type of resistive technology without changing a controller or installing a new driver. When connecting a different touch screen, users may also configure the PIN assignment and no longer require crossover cables.
Featuring high sampling speeds and response rates, the URTC-1000 not only is suitable for traditional touch applications, but also capable of writing-intensive and signature capture applications, such as Web Pad, Smart Displays, Tablet PC, POS, etc. It may even increase positional accuracy, and adjust the sensitivity level of the touch screen when optimal performance is required.

Availability
Available now, the URTC-1000 supports various operating systems — Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/NT/CE, as well as DOS and Linux.
